Journey to Justice

We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. Martin Luther King, Jr

When we launched in 2013 Journey to Justice identified the UK as a place of increasing inequality, with many feeling powerless. We felt there was a lack of public memory about past struggles for social justice and human rights in our communities.

Seeing how change has been made by ‘people like us’ can ignite the flame of belief that it is possible. We aim – through their stories and the arts – to galvanise people to take action in their own journeys to justice, from personal to global.

Our vision is: Everyone feels responsible for social justice and is active in promoting and ensuring it.
