JOURNEY TO JUSTICE IS FIVE

JtoJ was founded 5 years ago by people who felt there was a lack of public memory about past struggles for human rights which can galvanise us to take action, no matter how small. We have achieved so much together. Thank you for all you do and give.

Exhibition Exhibition
Our travelling exhibition is now at Liverpool’s International Slavery Museum where 3,000 people visited in the first three days. It is there until April: time to plan a visit! For details of its five-year journey see our new interactive map Next we shall go to Islington, Brent, Leicester and Kingston-u-Thames.
Impact Impact
Impact has been powerful. "It was really insightful, un-earthing local history which I had no idea of! I feel more educated about the lives of our predecessors and how the struggle for justice is prevalent in all society - even in 'quiet' Dorset" (Holly). See our Feedback Wall
Legacy Legacy
One of our aims is to build networks of people working for social justice. In Bristol, JtoJ's Madge Dresser is coordinating 'I Belong Here! - a Somali Journey Through Bristol'. This project grew out of a series of inter-generational workshops JtoJ held last October in partnership with the Bristol Somali Resource Centre. Read more
Volunteers Volunteers
Volunteers have taken on increasing leadership roles in all local JtoJ groups: running training sessions, events, fundraising, research and planning projects. One, Tania Aubeelack, is now our volunteer coordinator in London and she led on the creation of our new Volunteers' Handbook in consultation with volunteers in London, Nottingham and Newcastle.

Films You can see our approach to human rights education in this film of our Train the Trainers course for educators, activists and young people who can now embed it in their practice. Finally, we hope you enjoy this film of our Newham launch full of local choirs, stories and activists.
US Us
Our work continually develops and changes as our experience of places and communities deepens. We now plan to develop a new project on economic inequality and the arts, working intensively in at least two marginalised communities. For details of all our work see www.journeytojustice.org.uk
